About the Instructors

Linda Jones


Linda is a working artist, art teacher, business women and community volunteer. For over 20 years of teaching art, she has inspired children and adult artists to express themselves with various media. In addition to sharing her love of art with her students, Linda contributes to community projects within the schools, the arts, and festivals with her artistic abilities and her sincere desire to understand and connect with her community.

Marty Ryan graduated from Pratt institute of Art in Brooklyn NewYork in Industrial Design and moved with her family to the Columbia Valley over forty years ago.

A life-long artist, she has worked in many mediums, including oils, acrylics, pencil, bronze and copper. Marty taught art and was a counsellor at Golden Secondary school for 25 years.

Marty's copper works range from large etched and hammered copper pieces to bowls, jewelry, bracelets and bookmarks. To see a full range of her work, visit Marty's website at
