ENCAUSTICS WORKSHOP on July 29th and 30th, 2017

Is being held at the Peachland Community Centre. Sponsored by the Peachland Arts Council.

This is the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in all that is bees wax.

Perfect for both the beginner and those with some encaustic experience. A wide variety of techniques will be covered. You will be given studio setup tips, safety tips, information on surfaces and grounds.I will demonstrate step-by-step techniques including using shellac and FIRE! Your head will be swimming with ideas!

Cost: $350. - Everything included. We will be using either a 20 x 20 or 18 x 24 cradled canvas. (Please let us know at least 1 week in advance of your choice of canvas size!).

You will receive complete instruction from start to finish of your work. You will also be taught how to make encaustic medium and pigmented waxes.

What you will need to bring with you: smock or apron, a few pairs of latex gloves. work paper towels from home depot, any special markers or tools to inscribe with. stamps and stazon stamp pad (optional). If you would like, bring lazer photo copies of photos, sayings etc. and tidbits to press into the wax. Bring you lunch! Kitchen facilities available. Tea, coffee and some refreshments provided.
