Perfect for both the beginner and those with encaustic experience. You will be given studio set up tips, safety parameters, information on surfaces and grounds. This is the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in all that is bees wax!

Cost: $350 - everything included. 20 x 20 or 18 x 24 cradled canvas. (Advise of choice of canvas size at least 1 week prior to start of class). You will receive complete instruction from start to finish of our work.
Also learn how to make encaustic medium and pigmented waxes.
Special technique using shellac and 'fire' will also be demonstrated.

You will need to bring: old clothes or apron, an idea with photos of what they want to paint and/or a great imagination!
Latex surgical gloves (a few pairs)
Roll of industrial paper towel (blue) can be purchased at Home Depot
Special markers or tools to inscribe with.
If you want to embed something in your work: special papers, fish hooks or other little tidbits.
A pencil and eraser.
Bring a lunch. Snacks, coffee, tea and water will be provided.
